Born and raised in Atlantic Canada, I find myself returning home after working as a civil servant for 15 years in Canada's capital city; Ottawa. I am a Mechanical Engineer and have spent most of my career working on research and development programs related to transportation, energy, and the environment.
Inspired by permaculture principles and ethics, I left my career and have re-centered myself on a 75 acre slice of the Acadian Forest where I am now using my project management expertise, my international experiences, my sound technical knowledge as an engineer, as well as my broad public sector experiences to start my own business; Midori Permatech.
This Output Packet (OP) demonstrates where I am on this journey.
Welcome to my first project specific Gaia University OP. I invite you to read through my core report sections and discover how I navigated the parallel journeys of creating a business plan, launching a business, working with my first client, and developing my skillflexes.
I am approaching the creation of my business with what I think is a unique and unconventional model. I believe this method will inform me of the skills I need to further myself on several paths in real-time, a much more dynamic approach, yes, but one which can have more risks involved. My Gaia Buddy, Simha Bode, calls it an "Emergent Agile Prototype System”, or EAPS!
The basis of this report originates from identifying the elements I have amassed during this journey. I used the 5P notion (peer, patrix, professional, personal, and project) to harvest this information and present it.
